Governor
Bush has decided the voters deserve answers about his "lost years"
(1968-74). To that end, campaign HQ is publishing, in a serialized
format, a supplement to W's autobiography.
Kit drove us way out into the desert one day. He said we were going to smoke Peyote and hang out with some cool Indian dude. Imagine how shocked I was when we got there and Kit spoke to the guy in his own language. It turned out Kit had been raised on the reservation. His parents were missionaries, but Kit rebelled, rejected Christianity and absorbed a lot of Indian religion.
"Whatever!" I said, "Just pass the bong." It was a fantastic water pipe. Really impressive. Much more sophisticated than anything we had ever concocted back at my Yale frat. But it wasn't long before I started taking Kit seriously. A fox appeared before me, hovering inches above the ground. Kit didn't see it, but the old Indian man, who was chanting softly, seemed to give the fox a knowing nod. The fox then opened its mouth and spoke...and I know this sounds crazy..with the voice of Henry Kissinger. I would have disregarded the episode as a simple hallucination if it wasn't for what the fox said. It gave me a set of navigational coordinates which I recognized to be in the Caribbean. The fox, with Henry's voice, simply repeated the coordinates over and over until the vision faded. Back at base I checked out the coordinates on the maps and was astonished to find a tiny island, just a rock really, located there. The chances of anything being located at those coordinates were too astronomical for me to call this a coincidence. I decided that no matter what the consequences, during my next flight I was going to fly by the island. It was hours off the cost, and I would no doubt get into horrible trouble.
